Talk Show Screening #001: Strange Kindness with Joseph Mault and Kelly Kafui Korto

Please join us for our first installment of Talk Show Screenings. Talk Show Screenings is a film series where artists are invited to screen their work in an informal but constructive environment. This event is meant to give beneficial feedback to the artists without anxiety of judgement, for either the artist or for the audience members who are giving their criticism.

Joseph Mault and Kelly Kafui Korto will debut an edited portion of Strange Kindness (2019).

“In the aftermath of a shockingly brutal act of violence, two people find themselves quarantined in a house, with the world outside threatening their fragile harmony. Director Joseph Mault's short "Strange Kindness" is several scenes of a larger narrative feature to come in 2020, but functions as a standalone study in human nature, pain and consequence.”

Doors will open at 7:30 with the screening beginning sharply at 8:30, kicked off with a reading by the director. Following the screening will be a 30 - 45 minute conversation with the filmmakers where they will request feedback for their work. Audience participation is not only critical but highly desirable.
